In the Luján de Cuyo and Maipú wine regions the past meets the present. Here Argentina's best Malbecs are produced in quaint historic wineries and modern boutique wineries, which make for a unique wine tasting day with interesting contrasts and, of course, some great views of the Andes.

We pick you up from your hotel and set off from Mendoza at 8:45 in the morning, heading towards Luján de Cuyo, a 25-30 minute drive.
Our first stop is Bodega Mendel, a small winery first founded in 1926, completely refurbished and equipped with the latest technology. Their prestigious wines, made from 80-year old vines, reflect the know-how and artisan wine making techniques used by its head winemaker and co-owner Roberto de la Mota, one of Argentina’s most respected and experienced winemakers.
We then continue to Bodega Benegas, a winery which has played a fundamental role in the introduction of European grapes to Argentina. It is one of Mendoza’s most historic wineries, in which Federico Benegas Lynch continues the tradition that his great grand father started more than 120 years ago. Visit and tasting including their reserve Benegas line.
For lunch we visit Bodega Ruca Malen, a stylish winery with a great view of the Andes mountain range, which serves one of the best winery lunches in Mendoza. Of course we will taste their top wine Kinien.
In the afternoon we visit Bodega Finca Decero, a brand new winery in Mendoza’s prime Malbec zone Agrelo. The winery's refined architecture integrates perfectly into the closeby mountain landscape. Special tasting of their reserve wines in their relaxing tasting room.
Return to Mendoza around 5:30 p.m.
