The Uco Valley is compared by many to the Napa Valley 25 years ago. At a higher elevation than Luján de Cuyo, excellent high-altitude wines are produced from vineyards up to 1400m (4600 feet) high, at the foot of the Andes.

Getting an early start from Mendoza at 8:30 we head towards the Uco Valley, taking the scenic route via Tupungato.
Our first stop is Bodega Pulenta Estate, a beautifully designed boutique winery that just recently opened its doors to visitors. Be one of the first to visit this winery and taste its outstanding wines.
We then continue to Ricardo Reina Rutini's Bodega Andeluna. Ricardo's family goes back more than a hundred years in Mendoza's wine making history. At Bodega Andeluna we have a visit and taste from their reserve wines as well as their top wine Pasionado.
Driving on through the back roads of the Uco Valley, only a few miles away from 5000m (16500 feet) high mountains, we reach Bodega O'Fournier, one of the most impressive wineries in Mendoza both in terms of its architecture and its wines.
At Bodega O'Fournier we have their excellent gourmet lunch, and taste wines from their whole range, including their top wine "A Crux", a delicious blend of Tempranillo and Malbec. After lunch we walk through the winery, sometimes accompanied by Bodega O'Fournier's owner José Manuel Ortega, and learn about their unique winemaking methods.
Return to Mendoza around 6:30 p.m.
